Class time is a large aspect of creating the yearbook. It is important for staff to realize that class time is not time to socialize, instead it is time to talk to your team and editors and get help and ask any questions that you may have. It is also a time to review the work that you have done and ask for second opinions to improve upon it. Yearbook is a class, and like any other class, there is homework that needs to be done outside of class. While there are no traditional worksheets or labs, encourage your staff to do interview and make sure that they upload pictures outside of class so that they can use class time to their advantage.
While it is important to work during class, it is also important to have fun and bond as a staff. Make sure to include time each week to watch funny videos, listen to music, or learn something new about each staff member. Play games and have fun, but remember, work comes first and should always be your priority.
