There are a few things that you need to be aware about when you are planning coverage for the year. First, make sure that anything you are covering was not dom the previous year, unless it is something super important and needs to be covered again. You want to make sure that with your acd or theme packages that you are also aware of who has been covered for those in the past so that the same people are not featured every year. It would be a good idea to create a list of this. Second, It is important to make sure that whatever you are covering is ok with the people being covered. Below is the sensitivity contract that we have been using, and people must sign this before the interview if they are discussing anything medical related or a personal matter. Offer to everyone that they have the option to sign a sensitivity contract, and if the person chooses not to release their information to be published, make sure and thank them and do not try to convince them. Third, anything that is covered should not go against anything that the school stands for or against any policies. If it is something potentially controversial that you want to cover, put the content on the spread but make sure that you ask Mr. Fulton for permission to cover it.
