the title is a lie. there is always something more to do.
1. Read all copy and check for commas, punctuation, and spelling errors.
2. Go through the entire style sheet again and again for your spread to make sure everything is perfect.
3. Check the spelling of all names and that teachers are all addressed correctly (Ms. and Mr. for all and department listed after their name).
4. Make sure all subheads are in past tense.
5. Make sure the opening of all captions and copy is present tense.
6. Check all the photos and ensure they have no fill on the boxes so color does not print by accident.
7. Brainstorm events that are happening in the next week or month and how to cover them.
8. Improve headlines (they can always be better).
9. Go on social media and find cool personal stories.
10. Put pictures in the folder for Fulton to use on the screens.
11. Practice designing a mock spread.
12. Teach someone design or help them write copy.
13. And if you have absolutely done EVERYTHING, then you can clean out the closet and organize the books, because chances are it's a mess.
